Rotating your picture

Thanks for explaining this tip Dan! Couldn't have said it better myself!

This functionality (rotating) is i broken. {update}

If the 'rotate' does not seem to happen, click the "refresh" or "reload page" of your browser.
For me, after clicking the "rotate" button, the large picture goes away and the view drops back to the 'calendar' of thumbnails -- but that particular thumbnail should be rotated (may need to refresh/reload). It's a minor inconvenience that it doesn't keep the large view open...

mine works.. you might need to refresh after rotating...

It may also depend on what browser you're using

How do you rotate your profile picture? As you can see, mine is sideways and I can't see where to rotate it.

You are right, renjkson ... you can't currently rotate the profile picture.
I guess you need to rotate it left (counterclockwise) on your computer and try replacing it!?

Dan! Where've you been buddy? How are you?

Sometimes, depending on your camera and the software you may use to view or edit the picture, you may see the picture differently on your computer than it appears after you upload that picture to ShutterCal. That is, you might see the picture "correctly" (right-side up) on your computer, but after uploading to ShutterCal, it is sideways!!! Oh my!!
Don't despair! You don't have to re-upload your picture. Just look to the left of that most useful edit button while viewing your picture and you will see two buttons that let you rotate your picture to the correct orientation.
(Just why some combinations of cameras and software seem to not transfer the "orientation" properly and get real complicated real fast ... but if anyone has that "incorrect orientation" issue, perhaps some discussion about the details of what you're using when it happens will help someone else ... or maybe someone can help you figure it out!!)
