our amtrak consist. we were in the last car on the lower level to the left of the door.

here we are at a break stop in montana. this place has dancing, happy hour, a casino, live bait, AND hunting and fishing licenses. what more could one need?

our last morning on the train. we were speeding along the columbia river gorge and ran across a rainbow.

so in the shanghai tunnels of portland, before they forced you into slavery on a ship for 6 years, they would take your shoes. the reasoning for this is, they coated the floor with broken glass, and if you tried to escape, you would not make it far. these are real cork shoes stolen off of local lumberjacks who were shanghai'ed.

heres sarah totally launching off a sweet ramp. this was in the midst of an RV party we were having. we went to this secret part of portland where theres an abandoned incinerator, with sweet grafitti. they (unknown skaters) are also halfway done building a skate park in the thing.

FINALLY, a nice clear warm day in portland. we hiked up to the pittock mansion, that has an amazing view of the city with mount hood towering over it. this was probably the best picture i took the whole vacation.

toria and i are going to volunteer for the all star game. this pic was us at the orientation, hopefully we get picked. they had 6000 volunteers, most ever in MLB history.

at work late again, 12:30AM on thursday. turning off a SAN with 50 terabytes worth of disks spinning at full speed is kinda scary. these are what fiber optic cables look like.
