We had a "pink party" for my aunt, who has defeated Breast Cancer! Cancer is a dark cloud that hangs over most of the women in my family, but we are built Texas Tough! The family doctor has recommended I test for the BRCA 1 and BRCA 2 gene mutation (the gene tied to hereditary cancer), but I haven't made my mind up. I will cross that bridge when I come to it (and I most likely will). For now, I will continue to be supportive of the strong women in my family, and cheer when they win their battles.
