Scooter is a 'porgie' ( a cross between a corgie and a papillion) He loves to chase little four footed critters like skunks and squirrels.
1
it was over 100 degrees again. Even the squirrel was fading
2
sitting pretty
3
feeerocious critters that will snag an ant and drag it down to the bottom of its funnel.....ant lions....
4
The dragon flies are taking over the pond. They love to pose....
5
The dam over slaughter creek is weeping....
6
only the lonely....on a dam
7
growing from a buried trunk in the woods behind our house. I wish I had seen it when it first grew....
8
he looked grumpy today....even if he did glisten...
9
lazing around on the floor with Buddy our border collie...
10
Scooter came to us through an animal shelter here in town. How did we get so fortunate?
11
Another generation just beginning....
12
I have begun my school career once again so I will slip to being late with my photos. This is Ms. Prickles my classroom mascot...on the Montessori knobless cylinders.

can't leave out the pink tower and of course the main star....Ms.Prickles
14
like the last three this is not a new photo but it is one that I have fond memories of. We went to the Washington National Zoo and This lovely little hippo came over as I was talking....almost looked like she was smiling at me so I snapped the photo and then the zoo keeper came up and my husband realized she sounded like me when she spoke.
15
everything is struggling to survive with the lack of rain...
16
my first attempt with a watercolor brush. So much to learn.....
17
We finally received a good day's rain. Water over the dam! Wonderful sound, wonderful sight.
18
It was all so wonderful. I stood in the middle of the stream hoping that I didn't fall on my --- butt I was able to stay upright and still get the shot.
19
This is the early morning view of the golf course that is located close to our house.
20
with fronds like these...
21
This was a visitor who was nibbling on our potted citrus trees. He didn't like being touched and these wild orange horns came out and he would bend backwards, trying to touch the stick. We think he will be swallowtail butterfly when he sprouts wings.
22
A walk in our woods took us by the creek. This is a possum skull (upside down) in the water. it was 'eery'
23
A new addition to our home. We named him Alpha. He is very dapper.
24
This little fellow was in my potted plant. I couldn't believe how tiny he was. That is my hand he is sitting on.
25
I just posted this photo on deviant art. Everyone on shuttercal has been so encouraging and helpful. I am so happy to have figured out the copyright issue. Thank you all for your helpful comments but especially LAZ and atomicmouthpiece. I will pass the kindness you have shared with me on to another new student. The ripple effect.
26
beautiful Bubbles of pollution.(little bit of irony there)
27
a cycad update. The 'berries' are ripening. There is no way to tell if they are really fertile unless you do 'surgery' on them or plant the seeds and wait it out.
28
This is the same place where my 'foggy' photo was taken. It is a bit different in the daylight.
29
A little turtle coming up for air.
30
A beautiful cloud that sailed over our house but still gave us no rain.
