About Me:

This is the way Greg eats.
1
A hot day to walk under the Olympic Arch of Torino, symbol of the 2006 Winter Olympics. More interesting pictures on Flickr.
2
One toret ('little bull' in Piedmontese), the peculiar fountains of Torino. They say that the water of each fountain has a different taste. This one (in Piazza San Carlo) is quite good, but my favorite one is in Piazza Carlo Alberto.
3
Banari, Sardinia.
4
Alghero.
5
My grandmother's top-notch stuffed zucchini.
6
Summer cinema in Sassari (each day a different movie). Today, short movies from the Sardinia Film Festival 2009. This is 'Post!', by Christian Asmussen and Matthias Bruhn.
7
Ahem... I'm usually better than this at parking... But my car is so small, and the parking lot so huge, that maneuvering wasn't necessary.
8
This poster is on my parents' kitchen wall. They have never seen New York, but this is how they keep track of the places where I usually work and spend my time in the city.
9
More mysteries of Torino (this wasn't actually taken today, but I forgot to take one... oops). This door with a demoniac knocker is the main gate of a stately building in via XX settembre, Torino. The building was already known as the Devil's Palace for some creepy events: a guest disappeared during a reception, a ballerina was found dead during a 3-day party... This door was placed in 1675 during nighttime. Nobody saw anyone do that. They say it was the devil's work.
10
Noa.
11
Going to Vienna!
12
Käsekrainer!
13
An effective 'clean up after your dog' sign in Vienna. The city, according to my Lonely Planet guide, had a big poop problem in the past, but thanks to a new policy it looks quite clean now.
14
The Naturhistorisches Museum (Vienna) is a quite old-fashioned natural history museum, but you must admit they found a cool way of making people look at this 'reconstruction of an early amphibian'.
15
Bratislava. Self-portrait with 'Napoleonec' by Juraj Meliš, one of the many odd statues that you can meet while visiting this interesting city.
16
Get ready, Prolagus*, because there won't be any internet connection for the next few weeks... We are at my sister's place.
17
Our friend Fernando helped us IKEA a new cabinet. (IKEA being used as a verb here.)
18
A view from C.D'A., where my sister lives. An Italian version of Anne Shirley's Avonlea, some might say.
19
20
IKEA all'italiana.
21
Calzone!
22
Holy water font in Cattedrale di Santa Maria Assunta, Asti.
23
My sister, as you probably remember, is close to her pregnancy due date. Today, she started feeling intense and frequent contractions, so she (we) went to the hospital for a visit (you can see my mother in this picture). Everything is OK, but you can feel she/he is arriving...
24
...and this afternoon, she was admitted to hospital. Around midnight, her fiancé called us all: she went into labor! So here we are, doing the only thing relatives can do in such an event: wait. By the way, interesting statue. (I took better pics, but this event is kind of private, you know.)
25
And here She is. Welcome, Emma.
26
The 'Medieval Village' in Torino.
27
C.D'A., population 236, by night... absolute nothing. Very happy to be here spending time with my sister and niece, but still... VERY bored.
28
29
A new cellphone for my mum's birthday, tomorrow.
30
New haircut... cause loogle is coming soon.
