Most Americans don't know this traditional recipe for pasta and pesto.

INGREDIENTS (2 persons)
200 g (7 oz) pasta (fettuccine is OK)
2 tablespoons of Italian pesto sauce*
2 potatoes
a handful of string beans

Cut the potatoes in small cubes. Cut off the ends of the string beans, then cut the rest into halves.
Boil with both potatoes and string beans together with fettuccine, then drain well, saving only a spoonful of hot water that you will stir with pesto.
Toss it all and serve!
