Me and Ben noticed we had quite a lot of chairs at work. We had been meaning to get a photo of him on each one for quite a while, but only just got round to doing it. Was rather amusing. So I think 50 chairs is enough for a 13 man business.

Fairly average day, spent the evening stripping down, cleaning and re-greasing my fixie parts ready for the arrival of the new frame.
-Notts, Beech Avenue

New frame arrived earlier than expected at work. I was quite relieved as I had brought it off a website I couldn't find much info on. Luckily Alex had borrowed his brothers car to move some of his stuff, so was able to pick it up. Spent the evening putting it together. I was slightly annoyed because I didn't have some of the tools so I couldn't complete it.

Today it rained, a lot. This reflected my mood. Alex, who had been staying at mine for the past five weeks was finally off to the big smoke. It's going to be quite odd not having him about. One plus to the day was Pauls girlfriend had brought in these rad little cake chocolate things on a stick.

I had taken my bike to the shop the previous day to get the forks cut to the right size and have the bottom braket fitted correctly. So today at lunch I went and picked it up. I was a little shocked but kinda of expecting the price of the service.. £35. This bike has been a rather expensive build to say the least. But I think I can say it has been worth it. I rode round town then met up with people from work and Simon who I haddnt seen since he left Tribe. Was good to catch up. I caught the train to Bedford after work.

Went on a ride with Kim in the day. Evening we headed out to watch the sunset. I took this stereographic projection while we were there.
-Bedford, Park of Queens Drive
6
Went out for a roast dinner via the scenic route. Swan family were chilling by the pond.
-Bedford, Just of Riverfield Drive

Had to take my bike back to the shop. They hadn't fitted the bottom bracket tight enough. Nearly got knocked off my bike on the way. Retarded driver. Went on a 20 mile ride in the evening. Bike feels good. This is a new lamp 'shade' we have at work. Cool geometry.

Uk has been going a bit mental the past couple of days. First it started in London. Mega riots. People soon caught on and there was mass looting. Some serious damage was caused. This evening Nottingham was on lock down. Lots of shops had boarded up their windows. Police everywhere. Lots of shady looking groups of guys about too. Nothing too drastic happened while we were there..

In the evening I got a lift with Sean to a super sports store (Decathlon) on the the edge of town. So many products in one shed. I ended up spending £160! Got a lot of 'essential' items though.

Took the day off work to get my stuff ready for the trip. Sean had recommended masseuse next to the barbers he works at. I've been meaning to get a massage for a long time so I thought I'd give it a blast. After 30 min or so my back was well and truly re arranged! I think I'm going to make this a regular thing. Got all packed up and jumped in a hire van to London. Gave our bikes in to the Eurostar dispatch centre. We met up with Joe had a nice meal then got an early nights sleep.

Up at 4.30am. Got to St Pancras in time to catch the 6.20 eurostar to Brussels. The train was good fun. Looked at the GPS and we were travelling 184mph at one point. Arrived in Brussels and set up the bikes. Met up with other riders and headed out of town. Rode for about 40 miles until we arrived in Antwerp. We went to check out a bike shop called Fixerati. Got some lunch and carried on riding. Got another 20 miles done then looked at the map and realised we had about 50 miles still to do. It was getting dark so we decided it would be better to get the train. So we found a station and got it to Middleburg. Arrived there but we were still 20 miles from where we were meant to be staying. Found a hotel that was still open. Managed to get two rooms for €30 each. With breakfast included! Such a mega deal. Really nice place. Looked around the area and got to bed. 70 miles on a fixed gear bike in one day, mission accomplished.

Up early, went down for a really nice breakfast. Because we were still 20 miles from the rest of the group we made a early start. Had a nice ride to Renesse, it was along the coast line and some huge dykes. Arrived in Renesse and met up the other guys. Half of their group had given up and decided to get a train from there to Amsterdam. As we set off it started to rain. It did not stop raining. There was a bit of a crash too. There was metal strips in the middle of the cycle lane, becuase it was wet two of the riders slipped. One went into a wall and the other got chucked off. Sean had no choice but ride into Chai! ended up going over the handle bars. Luckily no one was hurt too badly. We recovered and set off again. Happily riding along when I started to feel a pain in my finger. I took my glove off and noticed a red point. I realised a wasp must have stung me. Was rather painful. Made it to Rotterdam completely soaked! Met up with some riders from Amsterdam and decided it was too wet to carry on so just got the train the rest of the way. Arrived in Amsterdam and had a wonder about. Seans sister kindly put us up for the night. Another 70 miles complete.

Had a nice chilled day wandering about Amsterdam. In the evening we met up with the owner of Pristine, a fixed gear bike shop. He took us to the shop and opened it up for us. We had a look around then chilled with a beer in the Café area up stairs. He was super cool, giving us all free caps and T's. I brought a new chain from there. Headed back through town and stayed at Seans sisters (Michelle) another night.

Up early, we said our goodbyes to Michelle and the family and headed to the station. Got a train to Hook of Holland where we caught the ferry. We had booked rooms so we dumped our stuff and explored the boat. It was a new ship so it was pretty kitted out. There was a basket ball court on the deck, free wifi, PS3s, Internet Café and most importantly duty free beer. I sat up on deck and chilled out in the sun. We got into Harwich where we got a lift back up to Nottingham.

Had the day off work, so I spent it cleaning all my gear and sorting through some footage from the trip. -Notts, Beech Avenue

Totally average day. Felt mega tired at work. I think the all the riding finally caught up with me. In the evening I made a start on editing the footage from the trip. -Notts, Beach Avenue
17
At lunch we took a walk into town and got a yoyo Noodle. Quick and tasty meal.

Went out to have a drink at lunch. While sitting there having our beers a few wasps decided to come join us. I then mentioned that my finger was still stinging from when I got stung the week before. About two minutes later I felt a wasp fly into my sleeve and go up my back! I freaked out and felt it sting me. I was flapping about like a nutcase. Not sure where he went but he did get me twice :(. Its such an annoying sensation. The rest of the day there were wasps everywhere. They were all coming for me.

Kim came up for the weekend. We spent most of the day just chilling out in the garden. The apples are now ripe and very tasty. We also made some mega chocolaty brownies, nom.
-Notts, Beech Avenue
20
Me and Kim went to Wollaton park because the weather was really nice. Sat by the lake for a couple of hours then met up with Sean and Emma to go on a ride along the canal and river. Sat by the weir as the sun set.

Spent the day at work on freecycle, we needed to get rid of a load of old stuff. It was amazing how quickly people responded to the submissions. Also my new wheels and tyres had arrived. So I built them up. The bike is nearly complete!
-Notts, Beech Avenue
22
Went out on a Ride in the evening. About two miles into it one of the guys went flying down a hill and clipped the kerb. This sent him flying off in to some railings. He was pretty shaken up. We called out an ambulance for good measure. Rode for a couple more miles then stopped off at a pub. Everyone was faffing about so me and Sean rode off and went the long route home, via a three mile stretch along the Trent river. It was pitch black.

My new crank set, pedals and brake arrived at work. I spent the evening fitting the new parts. I took a few pics, but the light was dying so they didnt come out very good.
-Notts, Beech Avenue
24
After work I went out for a ride with Greg, Sean and Jim. On the way to seans place I spotted that the sky was looking particularly epic. I slammed on the brakes (Greg nearly went into the back of me) whipped the camera out and snapped away. Talk about a right place, right time moment.
-Notts, Sherwood Rise

After mentioning to Greg that me and Kim made brownies when he was away, he imidiatally deciced that it was time to make some himself. This of course meant building the awsome whipping device again. This 2.0 version has a secondary handle to keep the whisk from going completely mental. Later in the eve I met up with Olli and we went out for a few drinks at Ride. Ended up getting rather drunk, standard.
-Notts, Beech Avenue.

Alex was up for the day to get some shopping done for the forth coming trip to Croatia. We wandered about town getting all the necessities for a week in the sun... One being a snorkel. We met up with Olli, Sean and Jim at ride for a couple of drinks. Didnt take long before Alex was drinking beer from the tap through the snorkel.

Drum roll please. The bike that has pretty much rinsed out my recent savings is complete! Spent a small fortune on this machine but I love it. Its been a great little project. I've never built a bike up from scratch so it was a good learning expierience too. Over all I got very lucky with all the parts coming together and working. I spent the day on the Amsterdam video edit and popped out to get these pics of the new beast. Lets just hope I don't smash it up or get it nicked.

A project came in the previous week that needed to be complete by the end of this week. I was going on holiday this week so I only had two days to do it. Me Stu Paul and Tracey came into the studio on the bank holiday to get the job done. You can see the exhibition stand I was building on the left.
-Notts, Tribe Design
29
Spent the morning at work finishing off the exhibition project. Got home about 3pm and packed the rest of my things. Nearly missed the train down to London, had about 2 minutes to spare. Made it to London where I met up with Kim, Joe, Alex, Melissa and Lou. We caught the underground from St Pancras to Epping. This is where we got on the coach for Outlook festival! -London, Loughton Station
30
Waking up on a coach is never really that fun. Spent the entire day travelling through many countries. The Swiss Alps were the highlight. Went through a 12 mile long tunnel. In a strange way I kind of enjoy the ordeal of the trip. Arrived at the festival at 4am to find that we couldn't get a transfer to our apartments. This meant we had to wait around for 4 hours. We met up with some people and chilled by the harbour while the sun rose.
