at jasmine's 24th birthday party, i finally got the low down on how/why they are moving to samoa

my first brooklyn 4th of july, with free beer (after admission until 5pm, other conditions may apply) and free quesadillas (after five dollar purchase) and free ice cream (while supplies last) ...ah, America!

i went to the Muraqami exhibit at the brooklyn museum. it was awesome to say the least.

i don't know why... i just hate the grocery store sometimes. it's not something I can really explain...

We had 'Thanksgiving in July' at Sunny's house. The whole thing was almost a bust when the power got shut off! ...but Ryan broke into the basement and saved the day. The food was fantastic.

gas prices are so high, people are resorting to making car fuel themselves in their garages out of used restaurant cooking oils. IT'S ABOUT TIME!!!

Met Emily before our road trip up to Jesse's farm in Maine. Emily is a vagabond with five dollars for lobster bisque.

someone took the left over beef from the party yesterday and made chili. We all hung out on the front porch of the farm and took it easy. A pretty awesome day.

A trip wouldn't be complete without a trip to a amusement park on the way back. Actually a ton of things happened today... including strawberry picking, four hours of driving, 10 or 15 roller coaster rides, and yes, we totally hit up a strip club! haha.

I'm back in NYC. It's funny to go from one of the largest cities in the world- to a obscure and relaxing farm in Maine- and back again... but Amperes and I went to eat on St. Marks and I remembered how nice the city can be on a summer night, when you can do whatever you feel like.

had to wait 2 hours to see 'Batman: The Dark Knight' but we had great seats, and they didn't make us wait out on the sidewalk. Eveyone in the theater had an electronic device or a book with them. ...some even read a book on an electronic device =P

Got more Moey cards today... I wish I had told them how important it is to include my middle name... I hate not using my full name.

Amperes and I were trying to figure out what to do tonight. The F train is all screwed up and it's 200 degrees outside with 110% humidity so we decided to grab some wine, stay in and finish the final season of 'six feet under' ...best ending of all times for anything put on film.

Again... the F train is a mess, so we stopped at Red Mango to cool off. And a watched this girl pick every strawberry seed out of her triberry smoothy one by one.

i told Amperes I would cook her a dinner, and I did. I didn't let her touch anything... she stood there and took me through how to make this salmon and rice with sauteed squash one step at a time. The way she told me to make the rice was interesting.

sigh... unfortunately today was not has successful. Kim was not around, and yesterdays creativity got me all excited and I couldn't settle with regular pasta... so I decided to put hot dogs in it for some reason... ew.

I went to the opening of Lizzie's latest exhibit opening at the Museum of Sex tonight. It was about sexual behaviors of the animal kingdom. Very very well done! Their best exhibit yet and I am very prod of this girl.

A while ago, when I was visiting home, I found my old iMac and took the drive out so I could recover all the old data. It did it and it worked out. Today I was walking down the street and found this iMac out for the trash, so i grabbed it and took the drive... people should really reformat their drives...

Duncan and Jasmine are crashing at my place for a few days. Their cat has to wear a cone, and it is hilarious
